Youman Wilder is a true artist, he is sexy, yes, cool and just electric on stage, but he really does sing songs that lyrically are uplifting. Harlem Rain is a wonderful song, and the World Is a Ghetto, is great, and 'The Love of A Black Woman' was so sensual and sex, but when he sat down and talked about the heartship of his friends whom have died of AIDS and how he wanted to always remember them in a way that was tender and beautiful. He was an artist that was being honest and he with out a doubt had the 600 people or so at Kennys just in a trance when he performed Hush,Hush,Hush. I have seen Youman and his band over 15x and he still commands me, and delivers shows that are part Jazz, Funk, Gospel, and he still makes magic. He is a New York City treasure. And Hush,Hush, Hush will now be a song that he will have to sing in his shows from ths mpment on! It was one of the most moving momnents I have ever had at a performance. Love You Youman Wilder

I had the pleasure and honor of hearing Youman Wilder perform this song recently in New York, and it made me weep. Mr Wilder performed the song with just Piano and guitar, bass and drums and with a voice that usally is in harmonic gospel textures, did a soulful and kind reading of this Paula Cole gem. It made me run out and buy this song, I love Annie Lennox, but Youman Wilder may be the best version of this song I have heard to date. I am always amazed how Mr Wilder continues to move us and find great songs as well as writting some real ot soulful songs. He may be the best live acts out there. Hush,Hush,Hush what a great moving haunting song and what a gift to hear it performed by Youman Wilder.
